Directing a multi-day live music festival of massive scale leaves zero room for operational error. Headlined by one of the top DJ acts in the world and backed by a multi-million dollar production budget, the event was projected to draw upwards of 10,000 attendees per day. Stepping in as Festival Director meant taking complete ownership of the operation from initial concept and site design to final tear-down and financial close-out.

The scope required total operational orchestration. I led end-to-end financial forecasting and budget governance, managed investor relations, and coordinated heavy infrastructure logistics—including complex staging, equipment rentals, multi-tier vendor procurement, and precise delivery timetables. Simultaneously, I designed and directed the high-volume beverage program, structuring points of sale, staff deployment, and inventory pipelines to maximize throughput while preventing shrinkage and bottlenecks.

With millions of dollars committed and countless variables in play, rigorous risk management and contingency planning served as the operational bedrock. Unforeseen disruptions in large-scale live events can derail both attendee safety and profitability instantly. To mitigate risk, I implemented agile management frameworks across all interdepartmental teams—security, medical, site ops, talent relations, and front-of-house hospitality.

These agile protocols allowed leadership to respond dynamically to real-time crowd movements, weather shifts, and supply chain updates. Continuous feedback loops ensured rapid decision-making, stripped away operational waste, and kept cross-functional units aligned without friction.

The result was a seamless, secure, and commercially viable large-scale festival.
